What is a Caravan Service?
A Caravan service is a full inspection of you van, with a strong focus on preventative maintenance work on brakes, bearing and suspension components.
Which may include, but is not limited to, a complete clean and degrease of internal brakes and bearings, inspection of all related components for wear, re-greasing all necessary components with new, clean, high grade, high heat resistant grease, checking tension of all appropriate fixings, a complete under chassis inspection looking for any damages to the chassis itself, any lose screws, any poor connection, any potential leaks and anything else that could be of concern.
Once all things chassis down have been complete, there are a few extra things that are checked in a service, this can include, an inspection of all external lighting and electricals, checking seals around the van to make sure no leaks are present and to catch them before they cause damage, a roof inspection and checking for any components or appliances that have been recalled by the manufacturer.
The soul purpose of a caravan service is to maximise safety for the van and user. A lot of what is done during a service is done to prolong the lifespan of your van and to catch wear and tear issues before they turn into major damages.
